Recently, this approach was put into practice when a new client contacted us with a request for an HPU (Hydraulic Pump Unit).

The client, who is working on the reactivation of a vessel project, requested a quotation for an HPU with six individual hand pumps. Manual pumps are required to cover potential emergency situations. Although the vessel already has a quick closing valve system on board, the client needed an additional manual HPU in case the automatic hydraulic system cannot provide sufficient pressure. They required a compact, fully integrated solution that would interface seamlessly with their existing system. Their request included the following specifications: a 25 L tank, six pumps with a pressure safety valve, a pressure gauge, an oil fill cap with dipstick, a 1/4″ BSP female thread, and a closing valve.

Our engineering team analysed the request in detail. We prepared comprehensive quotations and developed precise 3D drawings of the proposed design. The models allowed the customer to see how the solution would fit and verify the design before moving forward.
